Downtown

Known for the Alamo, downtown San Antonio is also home to the famed “Paseo del Rio,” or River Walk. 

This scenic tree-lined river is the lifeblood of downtown. Cobblestone paths meander past outdoor restaurants, churches, art galleries, museums and a great selection of hotels. The walkways were recently extended 1.3 miles to connect to the San Antonio Museum of Art and the historic Pearl Brewery complex.
