From the moment you walk into the Illusions Theater, you’ll realize you're in a completely different venue, unlike anything in South Texas. And this venue can accommodate everything from general sessions, product launches, theater presentations and concerts.

 “We’re able to scale down the Alamodome into a very intimate setting,” said Marc Solis, General Manager of the Alamodome. “It gives the meeting planner the ability to scale to their audience, in a theater setting.”

How Much Space Do You Need?

The Alamodome is huge, with 160,000 square feet of column-free exhibit space, enough to host NCAA Division I championship basketball games, the annual Valero Alamo Bowl and monster truck shows. But, thanks to a curtain wall system, it’s also very flexible.

Using curtains, special lighting and floor seats with luxurious padding, the Illusions Theater carves out a totally new and engaging place for your session.

• Use the 1,000 floor seats plus the plaza level to accommodate 3,900 people.
   
• Add in the club level to handle 6,700 people.
   
• Include the upper level to get in a total of 11,500 people.

You can also configure a narrow or wide auditorium. The ceiling can be as high as 165 feet or as low as 75 feet. Scale to what you need to save on sound, lighting and other costs.

What Sort of Look and Feel Do You Want?

Imagine your delegates walking up to a handsome domed building. The entrance is lit by brilliant LED lights, in a color theme that you selected, which signals something exceptional ahead. The lighted colors are carried through the concourse and concession areas. Then your attendees step into the theater itself.

Inside the Illusions Theater, silver state-of-the-art curtains reflect gleaming LED lights to create the precise mood that you have chosen. You can project brand colors and even logos and other images onto the curtains.

On the floor, attendees stroll down broad aisles and settle into wide soft seats. They easily maneuver through the rows because there’s enough leg room to enable those already sitting to remain seated.

They face a stage that’s 40 feet wide and 60 feet deep. A screen for presentations could be set up.
